Tour of Imperfect Recall

It's a month since the launch of the exhibition and it's all gone pretty well. Very positive feedback and a decent attendance - even a few sales!
For those of you who couldn't make it you can take a visual tour at the link below.

Imperfect Recall tour

I've now shrunk the exhibition for the second month. This was due to the rear art of the gallery being rented out. Not ideal as the show feels a bit clumsy and squashed now but at least it was recorded for posterity and you can see it the way it was intended. I'll be working in the Architect's Gallery every Saturday if you still haven't been down yet. I make a decent cup of coffee and welcome the company!

With a mere ten days to go I thought it was time to show you a few more images from the forthcoming exhibition. Most of the artists have completed their work and it's ready to hang but one or two are keeping us (me included) guessing as to what we'll see.

First up Daniela.

Poster final version

OK yes this is the poster. I bet you can't even spot the subtle differences to the original.

Design work for the invite is now underway by Mickey who does all the Architect Gallery's stuff. I'm looking forward to seeing her interpretation of my poster. Fingers crossed we'll get all the invites out the first week of September.

Now for an alternative landscape format A2 poster to hang outside the gallery.

Poster - working version

Here's the working version of the exhibition poster.
The image is from a work by Belgian artist Ronald Ceuppens. Unfortunately it appears he's now sold this work and that slightly means that this now becomes unrepresentative of the exhibition. He's promised me images of the new work he's exhibiting with us asap and I hope one of them can be used in the poster. It's a shame as I've become rather attached to this design. Alternative plans in place though.
The only other change to the poster will be the web link bottom right. It won't be to my website but this blog instead. Running out of time for the design work - must finalise by the end of the week!

Welcome

This site is dedicated to the forthcoming exhibition Imperfect Recall.

Over the next few weeks in the run up to the opening I'll be posting updates, images and anything else that takes my fancy with relevance to this show.

If you need any more information or would like to contribute in some way please feel free to contact me at paul@paulsmithart.co.uk

Thanks
